Geometric Modeling and Processing
(GMP 2008)

April 23-25, 2008, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China

You are invited to participate in GMP 2008 conference. The conference will be held in Hangzhou, China on April 23-25, 2008. Hangzhou is one of the most scenic cities in China. There's a Chinese saying that goes "up there is heaven, down here is Hangzhou". We look forward to meeting you in the city of heaven.

Geometric Modeling and Processing (GMP) is a biannual international conference series on geometric modeling, simulation and computing. The modeling and processing of geometric data is fundamental to many computer applications, including computer graphics, computer vision, CAD/CAM, medical imaging, engineering analysis, robotics and scientific computation. GMP conferences provide researchers and practitioners with a forum for exchanging new ideas, discussing new applications, and presenting new solutions. GMP2008 is the fifth GMP conference. The previous GMP conferences were held in Pittsburgh, USA(2006),Beijing (2004), Tokyo (2002), and Hong Kong (2000).

After strict review process, we will have 34 regular papers and 21 short papers for presentations at the conference. We have invited the following experts as the keynote speakers at GMP 2008:

• Prof. Rida Farouki, University of California, Davis, USA

• Prof. Craig Gotsman, Technion, Israel

• Prof. Laureano Gonzalez-Vega, University of Cantabria, Spain
