复旦大学光华青年学者论坛数学分论坛诚邀海内外英才(中英文)

一、论坛简介

复旦大学光华青年学者论坛,旨在为各学科领域的海内外优秀青年学者搭建学术交流平台。通过主论坛专题报告会、分论坛学术研讨会和人才洽谈会等形式,围绕国际学术前沿,探讨学科热点问题,促进学术交流与合作,为我校“卓越2025”人才引进计划的实施汇聚全球英才。


二、学科领域与分论坛设置

2016年度复旦大学光华青年学者论坛定于2016年12月29-30日在复旦大学举行。此次论坛设置1个主论坛和数学、物理、化学、工程与材料、信息科学、生命科学、医学一、医学二(附属医院)以及人文社会科学等9个分论坛(其中人文社会科学分论坛拟安排在2017年3月举行),诚邀海内外优秀青年学者报名参会.


三、申请条件

1)年龄不超过40周岁(文科不超过45周岁);


2)具有海外知名大学博士学位,或具有国内知名大学博士学位、并有海外科研工作经历;


3)在所从事研究的学科领域取得一定成绩或具有良好发展潜力;


4)有意向通过我校申报2017年度青年千人以及有意申请我校“卓越2025”人才引进计划的青年杰出人才。


四、申请方式 

登录复旦大学人事处网站http://www.hr.fudan.edu.cn/(点击“阅读原文”可直接跳转),在“下载专区”下载论坛注册申请表,填写完成后于2016年12月15日前邮件发送至ghforum@fudan.edu.cn完成参会申请。

学校对申请人进行资格审核后,于2016年12月20日前向审核通过人员发送邀请函。


五、相关费用 

受邀学者论坛期间食宿由学校统一安排,并提供交通补贴。


六、日程安排 

12月28日全天  报到;


12月29日上午  开幕式及主论坛专题报告会,校领导、领军人才、青年千人代表专题报告;


12月29日下午  分论坛学术研讨会,各分论坛按学科领域组织相关学科带头人及受邀青年学者进行学术交流;


12月30日全天  人才洽谈会,各院系对接有意向的受邀青年学者,组织参观座谈,就引进事宜交流洽谈。

八、复旦大学简介

复旦大学始创于1905年,原名复旦公学,1917年定名为复旦大学。上海医科大学前身是1927年创办的国立第四中山大学医学院,1932年定名为上海医学院,1985年改名为上海医科大学。2000年,复旦大学与上海医科大学合并,组建新的复旦大学,进一步拓宽学科格局,增强办学实力,已经发展成为一所拥有哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、医学、管理学、艺术学等11个学科门类的综合性研究型大学。

九、复旦大学数学学科简介 

复旦大学数学学科由苏步青院士、陈建功院士为代表的老一辈数学家开创,通过国家最高科技奖获得者谷超豪院士等一批前辈数学家和数学学科全体教职员工的共同努力,已发展成一个在国际上有重要影响的数学科学研究中心、数学人才培养中心和国际学术交流中心。


复旦大学数学学科主要由复旦大学数学科学学院和上海数学中心组成。数学科学学院设有数学系、应用数学系、金融数学与控制科学系、信息与计算科学系、概率统计与精算系以及数学研究所。上海数学中心是由教育部和上海市共同出资建设的国家级数学研究和人才培养中心,2012年5月正式揭牌启动,致力于推动数学基础理论以及数学与生命、信息、工程、金融等领域的交叉研究与应用发展,以解决重大科学问题、服务国家和地方的重大需求以及培养杰出青年人才为宗旨。


复旦大学数学学科在全国最早具有国务院学位委员会规定的数学学科全部五个博士点:基础数学、应用数学、运筹学与控制论、计算数学、概率论与数理统计。基础数学、应用数学、运筹学与控制论自首批以来均为国家重点学科;2007 年数学学科成为国家一级重点学科。本学科在全国最早设立博士后流动站,2005 年、2010年和2015年均被评为全国优秀博士后流动站。2009年复旦大学数学科学学院荣获全国教育系统先进集体。


复旦大学数学学科综合优势明显,整体水平居于全国前列,在2002年、2007年、2012年的全国一级学科整体水平评估中综合排名均列第二。根据基本科学指标ESI 最新统计数据,复旦数学学科目前位于全球前3‰,位列第61名。另外,USNEWS 2016年全球数学学科排名复旦位列第20 名。2015年本学科入选上海市高峰学科建设计划。




Fudan-Guanghua International Forum for Young Scholars


Introduction

Young Scholars are the future of academic research. Fudan-Guanghua International Forum for Young Scholars aims to create communication platforms for global young talented scholars of various research fields to discuss cutting-edge research spotlights,to resolve frontier academic problems and to enhance cooperation among distinct disciplines. The Forum also offers young scholars a taste of research environment and a package of know-how for research in China, specifically at Fudan University. It would eventually foster the ‘Extraordinary 2025’ Elite Project to help attract from world-wide young researchers to work at Fudan University.


Forum Setup

Fudan-Guanghua International Forum for Young Scholars composes of one main forum and nine sub-forums, which cover Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Material and Engineering, Computer and Information Science, Life Sciences, Medicine I, MedicineII (Affiliated Hospital), Humanities and Social Science. It will be held from Dec.29th~Dec.30Th with Humanities and Social Science Sub-forum separately scheduled at March. 2017.

 

Applicants need to:

1.     Age below 40 (45 for Humanities and Social Science)


2.      Hold PhD degree from top universities abroad, or PhD degree from top Chinese universities with overseas working experience


3.      Have remarkable achievements and great potentials in specific research area


4.      Have intentions to apply “Thousand Young Talent Program 2017” with Fudan University,or “Extraordinary 2025” program of Fudan University

2.      Complete the form and send it to ghforum@fudan.edu.cn by December 15th, 2016.

About Fudan University

Fudan University was established in 1905, and merged with Shanghai Medical University in 2000, forming a new stronger Fudan University with a broader set of disciplines: medicine, sciences, and arts.


Fudan is home to 14,100 undergraduates and associate degree candidates, 14,800 graduates including 3000 foreign degree candidates, 2,700 staff and 3,100 full-time teaching faculty members. About Mathematics Discipline of Fudan University

The mathematics discipline of Fudan University (MDFU) was founded by the old generation of Chinese mathematicians including Professor Bu-Qing Su and Professor Jian-Gong Chen, the representatives of the influential academicians of Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). Now, through the joint efforts of the faculty members and the well-known mathematicians including Professor Chao-Hao Gu, the academician of CAS and also the laureate of the State Supreme Science and Technology Award, the MDFU gradually becomes a world’s renowned mathematical research center, a mathematical talent training center, and an international academic exchange center. 


The MDFU is made up of the School of Mathematical Science of Fudan University(SMS)and the Shanghai Centre for Mathematical Sciences(SCMS). The SMS consists of five Departments (i.e., Departments of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Financial Mathematics and Cybernetics, Information and Computational Sciences, and Probability, Statistics and Actuarial Sciences) and the Institute of Mathematics. The SCMS, sponsored by both the Ministry of Education of China and the Municipal Government of Shanghai, was launched in May 2012 and now becomes a nation-level center for mathematics-oriented research and mathematical talent training. The SCMS devotes to promote the development of research on the pure mathematics and the interdisciplinary research connecting mathematics with biology, informatics, engineering, and finance in China. The missions of this Centre include solving major scientific problems, serving national and municipal needs and demands, and training outstanding young talents.


The MDFU is the earliest institution that has the qualification approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, to issue doctoral degrees in all five directions of mathematics, i.e., pure mathematics, applied mathematics, operations research and cybernetics, computational mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics.  In particular, the directions of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, operations research and cybernetics have been among the first group of national key disciplines. The MDFU as a whole has become the state key primary discipline since 2007.  The MDFU has established a working station for postdoctoral research, one of the earliest stations in China, which were evaluated as the state outstanding station in 2005, 2010 and 2015, respectively. In 2009, the SMS was evaluated as the national excellent unit in education systems. 


The MDFU has outstanding integrated advantages, which results in the front rank of the mathematical disciplines nation-wide. In particular, the MDFU was evaluated and ranked as the second institution in 2002, 2007, and 2012, respectively. According to recent the ESI index published by ISI, the MDFU ranks 61th, the top 3‰, among the worldwide mathematics disciplines. In addition, the MDFU ranks 20th in the USNEWS 2016 ranking list for the worldwide mathematics disciplines. Also the MDFU was selected into the program of Shanghai Peak Disciplines in 2015.
