报告题目:Trapped Surfaces and Isoperimetric Inequalities

摘要: There is a folk belief in general relativity that if matter is sufficiently concentrated into a finite region, the gravitational system ultimately has to collapse to a black hole. Massive singularities are expected to be surrounded by a closed trapped 2-surface. In this talk, we discuss certain isoperimetric inequalities concerning toroidal (marginally) trapped surfaces. Both analytic and numerical examples of toroidal (marginally) trapped surfaces are constructed. The contents of this talk are mainly based on the following recent papers: [1] M.Khuri and N.Xie, Inequalities between Size, mass,angular momentum, and charge for axisymmetric bodies and the formation of trapped surfaces, Ann. 报告人简介:谢纳庆,现任复旦大学数学科学学院教授,理学博士(复旦大学,2007年),理学学士(浙江大学, 2002年),研究领域数学广义相对论。
