摘要:Realistic simulations in mechanics involve a large computation cost inherent to fine meshes. A common strategy to safe computational resources consists in using high-order   discretizations in order to accurately describe solutions while using less degrees of freedom. Depending on the complexity of the mathematical model, a discretization based on higher-order schemes remains a challenging problem. First, this talk aims to illustrate the potentiality of a category of finite difference schemes, namely compact schemes, to address problems in computanioal fluid mechanics. Then, a numerical method of solutions for Signorini problems based on compact scheme is presented. Several academic problems are addressed to outline the pro and cons of this approach. These results lend ideas for future research in higher-order discretization in multi-body contact for deformable bodies.
