Pre-announcement from Journal of Nonparametric Statistics

In celebration of the establishment of the IMS China, the Journal of Nonparametric Statistics (JNPS) has agreed to devote a special issue to papers inspired from the inaugural IMS-China International Conference on Statistics and Probability (2008).

The special issue will not be a Proceedings volume; rather, it will serve as a venue for conference speakers and participants to publish their papers in a special-themed issue of the journal that is devoted to nonparametric statistics and related topics. All the papers must be prepared in English, and will go through a screening and review process for possible publication.

Professor Tony Cai (University of Pennsylvania) will be the Guest Editor for this special issue. The window of submission is June 11-September 10, 2008 (inclusive of both end dates). Detailed instructions on submission will be announced at a later date, and will be available at the IMS-China conference in Hangzhou. Questions regarding the special issue should be directed to the guest editor only after June 1, 2008. Preliminary inquiries should be directed to Professor Suojin Wang (sjwang@stat.tamu.edu), Executive Editor of the Journal of Nonparametric Statistics.

2008概率统计国际学术会议(IMS2008-China)

《应用概率统计》增刊征文通知

1.      说明: IMS-China概率统计学术会议(2008)将于2008年6月11至13日在杭州浙江大学举行。经会议组委会及应用概率统计学会协商，决定在《应用概率统计》杂志上刊登部分优秀的论文。

2.      征文要求:

1)        论文必须在2008年6月30日之前未发表过的学术论文

2)        论文仅限于参加IMS2008-China会议的代表

3)        论文栏目:

①    应用概率统计学术论文

②    应用概率统计综述报告

③    应用概率统计应用简报

4)        论文使用LaTeX排版，并使用《应用概率统计》格式与模板

5)        稿件篇幅：不超过8页（超页部分将收取额外的费用）

6)        征文时间结点:

①    论文全文提交截止时间: 2008年6月30

②    发放论文接受通知时间: 2008年9月30之前

7)        版面费: 论文一经录用将收取版面费每页人民币100元

8)        论文提交方法: 论文仅通过《应用概率统计》编辑部E-mail受理
