As the new era of the personal humanoid robot is coming, a social robot can become a capable assistant,
knowledgeable tutor, considerate doctor, smart companion and loyal friend at the same time. Instead of
following predefined scripts or instructive controls by human beings, it makes decisions according to their
own demands, values, emotions, moods, personalities, and memories. Meanwhile, as an interdisciplinary
research, the social robot has integrated many functional modules from machine learning and deep learning.
Machine learning methods solve fundamental problems such as classification, regression, clustering,
decomposition, and reconstruction, etc. The advent of deep learning has achieved many significant breakthroughs
in recent years. Some fundamental machine and deep learning problems will be introduced in this talk.
报告人介绍：
张居正博士2011年毕业于浙江大学数学系应用数学专业，2016年毕业于新加坡南洋理工学院(NTU)获博士学位，
2017年入职松下集团新加坡技术中心，担任高级工程师。他的工作和研究主要集中在人工智能和大数据科学领域。
