A Series of Lectures on Representations of Algebras
Speaker: Professor Hugh Thomas (University of Quebec at Montreal)
1. Introduction to cluster algebras
Abstract: This talk will be a very elementary introduction to the theory of cluster algebras, developed by Fomin and Zelevinsky, starting from the cluster algebra associated to a disk, and building up to a general definition of cluster algebras.
Time: 10:30开始, May 24 (Thursday), 2018
Place: 工商楼200-9
2. Higher Auslander-Reiten theory and triangulations of cyclic polytopes
Abstract: This talk will explore the suprising link between the combinatorics of triangulations of cyclic polytopes and tilting theory of Iyama's higher Auslander algebras.
Time: 16:00开始, May 24 (Thursday), 2018
Place: 工商楼200-9
3. Lattice of torsion classes of an algebra
Abstract: This talk will discuss the lattice of torsion classes of an algebra, with particular reference to the example of preprojective algebras of Dynkin type, whose lattice of torsion classes was described by Mizuno.
Time: 10:30开始, May 29 (Tuesday), 2018
Place: 工商楼200-9
4. Lattice of torsion classes of quotient algebras
Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the relationship between the lattice of torsion classes of an algebra and those of its quotients. In particular, I will use the results of the previous lecture to give a description of the lattice of torsion classes of a Dynkin quiver. I will also comment on the connection to cluster algebras
Time: 16:00开始, May 31 (Thursday), 2018
Place: 工商楼200-9
