Abstract:In this talk I will present three examples on recovering acombinatorial structure of permutational type from noisydata: hidden Hamiltonian cycle problem, random graphmatching problemandplantedbipartitematchingproblem. I willemphasizetheprobabilisticandcombinatorialmethods in analyzingthese statisticalmodels,frombothinformation-theoreticandcomputational point of view.
This is based on joint workswith Vivek Bargaria, Zongming Ma, David Tse, Yihong Wu,Jiaming Xu and Dana Yang in various combinations.
