Abstract: In 1781, French mathematician G Monge proposed the optimal transmission mapping problem from military engineering problems. In 1942, Soviet mathematician L Kantorovich proposed the optimal transmission plan problem and applied it to the study of the optimal allocation of national economic resources. In 1975, Kantorovich and T Koopmans shared the Nobel Prize in Economics. In 1992, French mathematician Y Brenier solved the optimal transfer mapping problem using the square of the distance function as the cost function based on previous work. At the two international conferences of mathematicians in 2010 and 2018, C Villani and A Figalli has successively won the Fields medal, and his award-winning work is related to the optimal transmission problem. In this report, we will first review the historical development and important landmark achievements of the optimal transmission problem; Finally, we will introduce the research work of the reporter and collaborators on the optimal transmission problem and the entropy power inequality on Ricci flows.

Brief introduction to the speaker: the main research fields include stochastic analysis, stochastic differential geometry, stochastic matrix, and optimal transmission theory.
