Algebraic & Complex Geometry
Algebraic & complex geometry is an important branch of modern mathematics. It studies geometric problems over complex numbers or a general base using both algebraic and analytic methods, providing foundational language and tools for areas such as algebraic number theory, representation theory, and mathematical physics, and are closely related to topology, geometric analysis, and symplectic geometry. The algebraic & complex geometry team at Zhejiang University focuses on directions including birational geometry, logarithmic algebraic geometry and moduli spaces, D-module theory and algebraic analysis, singularity theory, mirror symmetry and enumerative geometry, and Kähler geometry. Their research focuses on topics such as hypersurface singularities and the motivic monodromy conjecture, the Riemann-Hilbert correspondence problem and microlocal sheaf theory, the minimal model program, the geometric Langlands program, Gromov-Witten invariants, and three-dimensional mirror symmetry.
