Sharp interface limit for Navier-Stokes/Allen-Cahn system

摘要: We consider the limiting behavior of solutions to a coupled Navier-Stokes/Allen-Cahn system when a parameter corresponding to the thickness of the diffuse interface tends to zero. To this end we construct a suitable approximation of the solutions and then estimate the difference between the exact and the approximate solutions with the aid of a spectral estimate of the linearized Allen–Cahn operator. This is a joint work with H. Abels (Universität Regensburg, Germany)
