The energy identity of Ginzburg-Landau approximation of harmonic maps

 要:The harmonic map is the critical point of energy functional of maps into a manifold. Unlike harmonic functions, the convergence of harmonic maps may not be strong in W^{1,2} space. It turns out that the loss of energy in the convergence of harmonic maps can be computed by the sum of energies of harmonic maps into spheres. This is called energy identity. The Ginzburg-Landau approximation of harmonic maps is an important tool in the study of existence theory of harmonic maps. When we use this type of equation to approximate harmonic maps, the energy concentration phenomenon also occurs. In this talk, we will discuss the related energy identity for Ginzburg-Landau approximation.
