摘要：In this presentation, I will discuss the latest advancements in understanding the asymptotic stability and instability of shear flow in viscous fluids. The primary mechanisms contributing to the system's stability are inviscid damping and enhanced dissipation. I will also explore the mathematical frameworks that have led to these insights. Additionally, I will highlight ongoing challenges and potential future directions in this area of research. The talk is based on joint works with Hui Li and Nader Masmoudi.
