Supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Graduate School of Zhejiang University and School of Mathematical Sciences of Zhejiang University, the 2021 International Graduate Summer Programme was held online from Jan 7 to Oct 29, with over 200 participants.

Outstanding scholars in the field of quantum science from overseas were invited to give lectures, including Dr. Maksims Dimitrijevs, Prof. Yuri Ozhigov, Prof. Alexander Zenchuk and Prof. Kamil Khadiev. Lectures were rich in contents, including complexity theory of Ising Model, local Hamiltonian problem and its complexity, Adiabatic quantum computing and its complexity, quantum algorithm for linear systems of equations, transformation of quantum states, quantum phase retrieval and quantum annealing.

Participants are mostly young scholars and graduate students from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russian Academy of Sciences, Kazan Federal University, Chungnam National University, Nankai University, Sun Yat-sen University, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shanxi University, Taiyuan University of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, Zhejiang University, etc. The 2021 summer program is a good practice that makes great contributions to the international development of the university.

Back in Feb 24, 2020, Zhejiang University launched Innovation 2030, a key university-wide strategic framework. Quantum technology was among the three projects of Innovation 2030. A number of key frontiers will be explored, including quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum imaging, hoping to explore potential applications of quantum technology in bio-sensing, artificial intelligence, and clinical medicine.
