Sun Binyong

Sun Binyong (1976-): A native of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province. He received the bachelor's degree from Zhejiang University in 1999 and the Ph.D. degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2004. He is a professor at IASM, Zhejiang University. He became a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2019.

He mainly studies representations of Lie groups and related fields, and has achieved important results in the research of the infinite dimensional representation of classical groups, L-functions and their interrelationships. He is the winner of TKK Young Scientist Award, China Outstanding Young Scientist Award, CAS Young Scientist Award and the Second Prize of National Natural Science Award.
